Bio: Well my dear friend helped me get this, and I took my cue from her and am using it as a dream journal. She had the idea first, as a way to remember her dreams. Myself, I have never had "Normal" dreams, nor does alotta other things about me seem normal. I just thought it'd be fun to share a peek inside my head, and show off my weirdness. Of course Normal is totally relative, but in this case I mean that I've rarely if at all found people that have the same kinda traits. I myself am far from the norm. I've always been an outsider, at first pushed there by my peers, then later I embraced it as my strength. I strongly believe that many of these abberations are linked to my belief that I was in another form in a former life. I believe in reincarnation, even while I am still mostly christian in religion. I was raised Roman Catholic, but learned far too much to ever adhere to any single dogma, and have since rejected organized religion. I believe my own beliefs, and it's nobody's buisness but mine and my God. The form I believe I once had is that of a Dragon. This is my true form and inner spirit. Many things have bled through from my former life and combined with the traits of this current body to leave me a long list of contradictions. My eyes for one, I am nearsighted, but when I have my glasses off i can see things at such a minute level so as to be able to see the very pores of my skin. I have amazing night vision, allowing me to see and navigate in near-total darkness, but it renders me sensetive to light, bright light is very painful. In addition, my pupils are slow to respond. So while they open far wider than most people, they do so slowly, and I am easily blinded once they are open. My hearing is only slightly more acute than average, but part of it is tat I can hear things much higher than is considered normal, especially for a male. I can hear dog whistles, and they hurt like hell... I have below average blood pressure, and body temperature. With this, I am also much more resisttant to cold than most, and can comfortably play in the snow wearing shorts and a T-shirt. However, I have almost NO heat tolerance, even direct sunlight is extremely uncomfortable to me on my skin. My mother even used to get sick when she got hot while pregnant with me. Heh, I once used to think mebbe I was a vampire or something the way sunlight hurts my eyes and skin, but being a quarter Italian killed that idea: I like garlic far too much! That leads to another thing, my sleep patterns. I am nocturnal, not by choice or from adaptation, but by my very nature. All my life I have tended to be active at night, and have had trouble dealing with staying awake in the day, especially mornings. My school career suffered greatly by my inability to function during morning classes, and I almost always failed the early ones. Add to this the fact that I have A.D.D. and insomnia, and you start to understand that my life has been total hell in the efforts to get sleep.
This brings us to the relevant part of my little essay, my sleep, or more accurately, my dreams. There are many more other weird behavioral quirks, but I dont want to make this too long (oh yes, it can get much longer). My dreams have always been strange. First of all, I'm almost never in them. My dreams are mostly third-person, as if I'm watching them on TV, or reading about them in a story. Very seldom are the events happening to ME. On a few occasions I have even changed the events of the dream by reaching in and moving things. One time I dreamed about a rocket launch, and when the rocket fell over, I reached in as though into a TV screen and picked it up to right it. I have had several reoccuring dreams, one of which i had every nght for over a year, in which I seemed to be seeing my parents from inside my mother's womb. But at 5 years old, I didnt know what I was seeing till years later when I recalled the dream. Another oddity is the fact that my dreams almost never have any relevance to reality. I dont always dream about things that have happened, or even people I know. It's sometimes almost like I'm watching someone else's dream. The only time usually I dream about people I know are when I'm nearly awake, either just falling asleep, or waking up. Day-dreams kinda, but I'm not really awake or asleep yet. these are also the easiest to remember, so I will be writing those alot I guess. But sometimes I have dreams in deep REM sleep that have some very special meaning to me, and will have in them someone close to me. These have even been shared by that person at times. An event that scared te hell outta both of us, but is very rare.
Well, enough rambling...If you've read this far, you must either really be interested in me, or really have nothing to do... hehe. If you want to know more, let me know, I'm very open. Just be sure you wanna hear what you are asking for. I tend to be brutally honest, and never lie.
